2026 Presidents Cup TV schedule and coverage guide: Where to watch today, Day 2 live stream, start times

The United States looks to continue a quarter-century of dominance this week as it takes on its International counterparts at the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah No. 3 in Chicago. With the Americans hoisting 10 straight trophies at this event, and the International side not claiming a Presidents Cup since 1998, the oddsmakers believe it's highly unlikely there will be a change of course this week. Still, it will be incumbent upon the hosting U.S. side to ensure it does not get ahead of itself and assume victory simply because the numbers point in its direction.

>The Americans boast two of the top three, three of the top five and eight of the top 11 players in the world on their team. Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 golfer in the world, leads the way and kicks off the festivities Thursday, teaming with Sam Burns, a close friend and fellow Texan. Scheffler has struggled markedly in team competitions -- both the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup -- so many will be looking for him to set the tone and break out of his funk when not playing individually.

>The first session on Thursday saw competitive play between the two sides in four-ball, with the United States taking a 3-2 lead over the Internationals. Scheffler and Burns were able to put red on the board in the first match of the day with a 1UP win over Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im. The International squad got its first win of the day with a 3&1 victory from Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune in the second match, ensuring there wouldn't be a repeat of 2024 when the Americans swept the opening session.

>Justin Thomas continued his stellar Presidents Cup record with a 4&3 win alongside rookie Jackson Koivun, while Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa locked up a 3&2 win to guarantee the U.S. would be on top heading into Friday. The Internationals' top team of Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim delivered a much-needed 3&2 victory in the final match to keep things tight heading into Friday foursomes.

>In 2024, the Internationals dominated the Friday alternate shot with a 5-0 sweep of their own to even up the score heading into the weekend, and the Americans will need to show improvement in foursomes to maintain their advantage on home soil.
