2026 Tennessee football preview: Chaz Coleman

Sophomore defensive lineman Chaz Coleman enters his first season at Tennessee in 2026.
>The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive lineman transferred to the Vols on Jan. 10 from Penn State. Coleman appeared in five games for the Nittany Lions in 2025 as a freshman. He recorded eight tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one pass deflection against FIU, Villanova, at UCLA, at Ohio State and at Rutgers.
>Coleman totaled four tackles against FIU, one versus Villanova, two at UCLA and one at Rutgers. His only sack, forced fumble and pass deflection was versus FIU.
>Coleman is from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio.
>Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
>The Vols will also host Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU, while playing at Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt during the 2026 campaign.
