The NBA moves extremely fast. One year, you’re viewed as a franchise cornerstone, the next, teams are questioning whether you’re worth building around. Whether it’s injuries, age, or disappointing performances, a player’s value can change in a hurry. These three players are still extremely talented, but their value has never been lower than it is right now, and it might be worth making a move for them.

Mandatory Credit: Petre Thomas-Imagn ImagesMorant is still one of the most explosive players in basketball and can completely take over a game when he’s on the court and at his best. The problem is that teams can’t count on him to be on the court and stay off social media.

>Between injuries and off-court issues, Morant’s value has taken a significant hit. There was a point where he looked destined to become one of the faces of the league. Now there are legitimate questions surrounding his future and whether he can stay on the court long enough to lead a contender. He’s still extremely young and could turn things around, but his value has never been lower.

James HardenThere was once a time when James Harden was one of the most valuable players in the league. He was an MVP, a scoring champion, and the centerpiece of multiple championship-caliber teams.

>Though that’s no longer the case, he is still a great player for any team. The Cavalier’s trading for him proves he is still valued. But after his playoff performances, he’s never been valued lower in his career.

>Harden is 36 years old and much closer to the end of his career than the beginning. Since leaving Houston, he’s bounced around multiple teams and has yet to live up to their expectations.. He’s still of decent value, but not nearly in the same way we saw even two years ago.

Jordan PooleNov 4, 2025; New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; New Orleans Pelicans guard Jordan Poole warms up before an NBA game against the Charlotte Hornets at Smoothie King Center. Mandatory Credit: Matthew Hinton-Imagn ImagesJust a few years ago, Poole looked like the next “Splash Brother” coming out of Golden State. He played an immense role in the Warriors’ championship run and earned a massive contract because of it.

>Since then, Poole has put up numbers in Washington, but they haven’t translated to wins. His efficiency, shot selection, and defense have all been heavily criticized, and the excitement surrounding his future has faded considerably.

>The talent is still there, but compared to where his value was after the Warriors won the title, it’s hard to argue that it has ever been lower.
