Oh, those New York Jets. Another disappointing season of being a bottom-feeder in the AFC East, and this season looks grim as well. Although they're projected to finish third in the division and had a really good draft, Jets fans want results now and don't want to wait and suffer through another rebuild. Will bringing back Geno Smith be enough for them to compete? Everyone is gone but head coach Aaron Glenn. Could it spell another disaster?

>Geno Smith is obviously a different QB than he was when the team drafted him in the 2013 NFL Draft. He is now 35 years old and has plenty of NFL experience under his belt. Although extremely turnover-prone, at least last year with the Raiders, he will give them the best chance to win first. The next optimistic thing is that the Jets have three first-round backup QBs waiting in the wings. One of them will have to work out, right?

>Honestly, things can always get worse, but when you have been at rock bottom for so long, like the Jets, there should be nowhere to go but up. That is, as long as the team can gel together and develop the chemistry needed to survive week to week in the NFL. The fire sale started for them in 2025 when they traded defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and cornerback Sauce Gardner. Now, after the overhaul, the offense and defense combined will see 11 new starters. It did, however, result in a bunch of first-round picks in return.

>The offense should be much improved with experienced offensive coordinator Frank Reich, who takes over for last year's first-time NFL signal-caller. They have a bunch of weapons as well, starting with Garrett Wilson and Omar Cooper Jr. They need someone to get them the ball consistently.
