>The Denver Broncos have one of the league's best rosters from top to bottom, complete with experienced veterans at key positions and young players ready to push the team to the top.
>When the Broncos open training camp at some point this July, the team will have many roster spots wrapped up before having even one practice. With little turnover from last year, the team knows what it has. Still, there will be some open competition this summer and the players listed here have a chance to essentially steal a spot on the team.
>Now, what exactly does a player who is going to "steal" a spot consist of? These will all be players who were either undrafted or drafted very late in this year's selection process. In other words, these are players who won't be expected to make the team, but could change that status by the time the final whistle blows in the last preseason game.
4 Broncos players who can steal a roster spotTyler Miller, OT
>The Broncos have a strong offensive line that has shown continuity over the last couple of seasons, making life nice for Bo Nix.
>The starting unit is all but decided unless the team wants to tinker with the guard spot held by Ben Powers. Alex Palczewski and Frank Crum are two rotational players that the team loves, so it's unlikely that they won't be part of the 53-man roster. But beyond that, there is an opening.
>Undrafted free agent Tyler Miller could easily take the spot of Matt Peart, who hasn't been a consistent performer in his career.
>Dallen Bentley, TE
>The Broncos took Dallen Bentley with the next-to-last pick in the draft, but he could secure a roster spot with a strong training camp.
>The Broncos have the veteran Evan Engram, who left a lot to be desired in his first season with the team last year, and the team seems to be excited about fifth-round pick Justin Joly. Beyond that, all bets are off.
>Adam Trautman is a veteran favorite of Sean Payton and will likely make the team unless he is severely outperformed. But neither Nate Adkins nor Lucas Krull is guaranteed much of anything, and Bentley could get ahead of both of them on the depth chart by the end of camp.
>Taurean York, LB
>The Broncos just don't have much depth at the inside linebacker position. Even at the starting spots — with Justin Strnad and Alex Singleton — things are a bit shaky. But behind them, unless Jonah Elliss blows everyone away with his position switch, the team has many question marks.
>Levelle Bailey, Karene Reid and Jordan Turner are all holdovers, but all of them were undrafted free agents. Seventh-round pick Red Murdock and undrafted free agent Taurean York could each steal roster spots from those names.
>Bleacher Report named York as the Broncos' most likely undrafted player to make the 53-man roster.
>Miles Scott, Safety
>The Broncos had three picks in the seventh round of the draft and one of those was used on Illinois safety Miles Scott. This is another position where the Broncos could use more depth behind starters Talanoa Hufanga and Brandon Jones.
>JL Skinner and Devon Key will be back, but the team also added free-agent safety Tycen Anderson. Scott, a converted wide receiver, has great ball skills and was a player, at least according to Illinois head coach Bret Bielema, that the Broncos were looking into for quite some time.

>It wouldn't be a surprise to see Scott take a roster spot from Anderson.
