A’ja Wilson confronts courtside fan and receives technical during Aces-Fever playoff game

With just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Indiana Fever’s eventual 99-89 first-round Game 2 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night, Aces star A’ja Wilson got into a verbal confrontation with a courtside fan at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Wilson appeared to take exception to the man yelling something toward the court after she was fouled by Sophie Cunningham, and Wilson walked off the court and into the crowd to share her displeasure with him.

>Wilson was assessed a technical foul and play was stopped for several minutes as the officials sorted through the ordeal.

>The man was escorted from of his seat by arena security but later returned.

>“If I see a man come at me, taking steps towards me and pointing at me,” Wilson said after the game, “… I don’t give a damn what you said … It’s unacceptable.”

>Wilson finished with 22 points and nine rebounds as her team now heads back to Las Vegas for a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday.
