>Argentina forward Julian Alvarez has confirmed he wants ‌to leave Atletico Madrid to "fulfil his dream."

>Alvarez is a target for Atletico's city rivals Real Madrid who saw a £129m bid for the forward rejected earlier this month.

>Alvarez has also been subject of interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.

>"I spoke with ​people at the club, with those I had to speak with and the ​best thing for everyone is ‌a transfer and I want to fulfil my dream," Alvarez ​said after Argentina's 2-0 World Cup Group J win over Austria.

>"It's not the time to talk about ​this, but I also can't hide ⁠it. I try to ⁠be an honest person."

>Atletico pointed to a £431m release clause in Alvarez's contract when rejecting Real Madrid's offer.

>They have also mocked Barcelona's attempts to sign Alvarez this summer.

>Alvarez, who is under contract until 2030 following his £81m move to Atletico from Manchester City in 2024, said ​his future remains undecided.

>"It's not known ​when it will be resolved," he added.
