How epic was the Telemundo call of Argentina’s equalizing goal by Lionel Messi?
>So good that it left iconic announcer Andrés Cantor hoarse like Harry Kane — by Cantor’s own admission.
>Messi’s 83rd-minute goal Tuesday, July 7 against Egypt in the World Cup round of 16 equalized the match at two goals apiece and stunned Egypt, which had led for most of the match. The goal followed a frenzy of Argentine activity as the Albiceleste had looked to extend their World Cup dreams.
>And once Messi blasted the ball past the hands of Egypt keeper Mostafa Shobeir and into the back of goal, Cantor’s call was one for the ages.

>“Me quedé como Harry Kane,” Cantor said, which translates to: “I ended up like Harry Kane.”
>Kane, the English captain who helped author his side’s thrilling 3-2 victory against Mexico Sunday, July 5 in the round of 16, lost his voice in a funny post-match interview.
>Argentina would then go on to score the go-ahead goal in the 92nd minute, on a header from Enzo Fernandez, to stun Egypt 3-2 and advance to the quarterfinals.
