Another Barcelona youngster suffers ACL injury

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday been dealt another setback on the personnel front, at youth level.

This comes amid confirmation of Juan Hernández being set for a long-term spell on the sidelines.

Attacking midfielder/winger Juan is for his part currently plying his trade with Barca Atlètic, the Blaugrana’s reserve outfit.

Ahead of an upcoming meeting with Atlètic Lleida, the 18-year-old therefore took to the training pitch alongside the rest of his teammates on Thursday morning.

After going to ground clutching his knee, it quickly became evident that the talented youngster had suffered a serious injury.

And an ensuing round of medical tests only confirmed as much, with Juan primed to spend the best part of the next year out of action with an ACL tear.

He follows fellow Barca Atlètic star Patricio Pacífico in suffering an ACL blow in the space of the last few days.
