NEW YORK − "Benny Barrels'' lived up to his nickname Tuesday night.

>Ben Rice dominated at the plate with two home runs, one of them a grand slam, a double and a single for four hits as the Yankees took a commanding 9-0 lead over the Red Sox in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series at Yankee Stadium.

>Rice had six RBI on the night, tying for the most in a Yankees playoff game since they started tracking runs driven in 1920, per the NBC telecast.
