Birmingham sell forward Furuhashi to LA Galaxy

Birmingham City have sold forward Kyogo Furuhashi to LA Galaxy for an undisclosed fee.

>The 31-year-old Japan international joined the Blues from Ligue 1 club Rennes last summer, signing a three-year deal.

>He made 31 appearances in all competitions in 2025-26, scoring three goals, as Chris Davies' side finished 10th in the Championship.

>Furuhashi scored 85 goals in 165 appearances for Celtic between 2021 and 2025 and was the Scottish Premiership's leading scorer in the 2022-23 season with 27 goals.
