Brahim Diaz looking forward to working with Mourinho at Real Madrid: ‘I’m very excited’
class="wp-block-paragraph">Morocco have once again lived up to the hype in the FIFA World Cup, and while it remains to be seen if they can recreate their 2022 heroics, they have already booked a place in the Quarterfinals of the tournament.
>
class="wp-block-paragraph">Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz is one of the most important players and leaders in the African nation’s dressing room, and while he may not have scored so far, he has already established himself as the heart and soul of the team.
>
class="wp-block-paragraph">In five games at the World Cup so far, the Real Madrid star has already racked up four assists including two against Canada last night in the team’s clash against Canada last night.

class="wp-block-paragraph">As reported by COPE, the player was first asked about what he made of Jose Mourinho taking over as Real Madrid’s head coach and how he personally felt about working with the Portuguese tactician.
>
class="wp-block-paragraph">“I’m very excited to start working with José Mourinho,” the Moroccan star said, making it clear how highly he rates the new Real Madrid manager.
>
class="wp-block-paragraph">He was then asked who he preferred to fight in the next round of the competition, essentially a prediction for the clash between France and Paraguay which took place later in the night.
>
class="wp-block-paragraph">“It’s better if France qualify, because then I will face my teammates,” he said, fearless of France’s attack.
What’s next for Diaz?

class="wp-block-paragraph">Diaz’s Morocco, thus, will meet France in the quarterfinal of the event in what will be a blockbuster game. After all, both teams have been in good form so far.

class="wp-block-paragraph">The Real Madrid star, moreover, will now lock horns with his own teammates Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni. While the latter missed France’s game last night, he is expected to be back for the quarterfinal.
