>On June 14, 2026, Cooper Pratt was playing shortstop for the Milwaukee Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate in Nashville. Fast forward four months and two weeks, Pratt has become the unquestioned starting shortstop for the World Series-winning Brewers franchise. He started all 13 postseason games for the Brewers, including their 4-1 clinching win over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 of the World Series, and he can now call himself a champion at the ripe young age of 22.
>It wasn’t that long ago when Pratt wasn’t even a big-leaguer yet. The Brewers drafted him in 2023 out of high school, but he rose through the minor-league ranks quickly and firmly established himself as a big-league-caliber player by his fourth year in the Brewers organization.
>Pratt couldn’t even put into too many words how it feels for him to have already won a World Series title within the first four months of his MLB career.

>“This is surreal, it only took four months,” Pratt said during the Brewers’ World Series celebrations, per Jake Reetz, a Milwaukee sports fan on X.
>Pratt wasn’t even just a roster inclusion out of sheer necessity; he was the Brewers’ best option at shortstop and he proved it throughout the 2026 MLB postseason.
>In Game 5, Pratt continued his torrid World Series play by going 2-of-3 from the plate with two RBIs. In five games in the Fall Classic, the Brewers rookie finished with eight hits in 19 at-bats (.422 batting average), adding seven runs batted in and two walks. He must have just narrowly missed out on the World Series MVP award to another deserving teammate in William Contreras.
>Pratt almost gave the Brewers the win in Game 4 of the World Series, hitting a go-ahead home run in the top of the 12th to give them a 3-2 lead. If they held on to that lead, Pratt might have won the World Series MVP award.

>He’s already this good this early into his MLB career, and the Brewers have to be so excited to see how much better he can be moving forward.
