As the Milwaukee Brewers make their long-awaited World Series appearance, some fans will be attending with tickets they've sat on for over a decade.
>In 2015, the Brewers sold what they called Timeless Tickets – just 1,000 bronze tickets, Willy Wonka-style. Priced at $1,000 each, they promised admission to any one home game of the owner's choosing.
>Now, as the Brewers head to the World Series for the first time in 44 years and only the second time in team history, fans are finally cashing them in.
>"The whole mindset all along was, 'I'm saving this and only redeeming it for a World Series game,'" said Danny Fochesato of Milwaukee.

— Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) January 13, 2015Dustin Buck, a lifelong Brewers fan who lives in Iowa, bought two Timeless Tickets while visiting Milwaukee for a game in 2015, recognizing it as likely his only chance to attend a Brewers World Series game with face-value tickets, since Wisconsin residents get first dibs at tickets before out-of-staters.
>Because of that, he's going to Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 23, with his two sons.
>"When I bought it, my kids were really little, and they're 17 and 13 today," Buck said. "This is the first year my oldest boy has been a baseball fan. ... It's going to be super-fun for us to have this opportunity."
>But along with the World Series excitement, controversy has surrounded Timeless Ticket redemption.
>Order Brewers NL championship book
>Order commemorative issue of Journal Sentinel
>Fochesato said the Timeless Tickets were announced the day before his birthday in January 2015. He decided to buy one both as a gift to himself and because the sales representative he spoke to described it as a worthwhile deal for any major Brewers fan.
>"They were like, 'any game in the future, a World Series game, you've got a ticket. It doesn't matter if it's 20 years, 50 years, you've got a ticket,'" Fochesato said.
>
>The terms of the deal include that each Timeless Ticket holder can purchase up to three additional tickets at face value for the game they decide to cash in their ticket. The terms also state that Timeless Tickets and the additional tickets "may be redeemed for the best available seat location(s)," according to an explanation card that came with the bronze ticket.
>But when Fochesato went through the process to redeem his Timeless Ticket this year, he found that the only seats available to him were in the 400-level upper terrace or standing room only. Better seats became available to the general public after that.
>"That right there tells me that what they were offering us before the public sale wasn't 'best available,'" he said.
>Fochesato previously went through the same process to redeem his Timeless Ticket in 2018 and 2025, when the Brewers made it to the National League Championship Series and had a possible World Series on the horizon. In 2018, the process went smoothly, and should Milwaukee have advanced to the World Series, Fochesato would have had four seats in Section 119, right behind home plate.
>Fochesato said his concerns over the "best available" seating arose in 2025, but the Brewers' quick loss made his argument moot.
>The price has also skyrocketed. In 2018, the three additional tickets Fochesato had planned to buy behind home plate were $360 each. This year, tickets ranged from $725 for standing room only to $1,000 for a terrace box seat.
>Fochesato has connected with other Timeless Ticket holders who have expressed similar frustrated feelings on social media. Some have said they've decided not to redeem their ticket, despite having planned to, due to the unexpectedly far-away seats.
>
I’ve said this before. In NO scenario did a #Brewers fan think they were purchasing a Timeless Ticket 12 years ago with an upper deck 400-level ticket in mind. Quite honestly, they should be given the SSH price to purchase the extra tix. #WinOurWay
— Dale Ryman (@DaleRyman_WSAW) October 20, 2026The Brewers didn't respond to Journal Sentinel questions about the Timeless Ticket sales process. A Timeless Ticket section on the Brewers website says tickets redeemed through the Timeless Ticket deal "are subject to ticket availability at the time of redemption."
>Fochesato said he was told by Brewers ticket representatives that a large amount of World Series tickets had already been allotted for current season ticket-holders, as well as people who would decide to purchase season tickets for 2027.
>He pointed out that, if he had chosen to invest the money he put toward a Timeless Ticket almost 12 years ago, he could have had more than enough to purchase a much closer World Series ticket during the general sale.
>Although he's frustrated, Fochesato said he's also excited to get to watch the Brewers play in the World Series alongside his dad and sister, thanks to a birthday gift he bought himself.
>Buck said he isn't certain that, even if he had closer options, he would have taken anything beyond the 400-level, due to the high face-value ticket prices. The two tickets he bought for his sons alongside his Timeless Ticket each cost $1,000.
class="related-link">More: World Series ticket prices are sky-high, but not for everyone. Here's why
>For Buck – who became a Brewers fan because of his dad, a long-haul trucker who got hooked on Bob Uecker's broadcasts during long hours driving through Wisconsin – the purchase of his two Timeless Tickets was a great investment.
>"Not a lot of dads will get this experience, especially with where dynamic ticket pricing has taken things," he said. "I'm extremely fortunate that somebody with the Brewers 11, 12 years ago came up with this idea."
>Though he could have used his second Timeless Ticket to try to get into a possible Brewers World Series Game 7, Buck elected to hang onto it.
>"As far as I'm concerned, there's a high likelihood the next five years they make it again, if not next year," he said.
