Broncos vs. Rams: 5 things Denver fans should know about L.A.'s squad

The Denver Broncos (1-1) are once again at home for a crucial Week 3 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams (1-1). The game will be a primetime affair, under the Sunday Night Football lights. Ahead of the championship-level tilt, we asked Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire five questions about the Rams and Sunday's matchup. View our questions and Cameron's answers below.

1) What was a key difference for the Rams from Week 1 to now? How (or did they) bounce back? Should they still be considered Super Bowl favorites?They just looked sluggish and out of sorts in Australia, which can probably be at least a little bit attributed to the demanding travel. In Week 2, Matthew Stafford was much sharper throwing to all areas of the field, the run game was excellent and on defense, the coverage was sticky against New York’s receivers. They used more man coverage, which helped players such as Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, who are used to playing man. I would still consider them the Super Bowl favorites, but the injuries to Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett are at least a little worrying.

2) How did Aaron Donald look in his return to action?He looked great. He was close to being his usual self, but he’s still getting his feet under him and understandably cleaning up some of his pass-rush techniques. He walked rookie guard Francis Mauigoa back into the quarterback on one rep and then won with a quick swim move on another player, so the arsenal is still there.

3) Who is an underrated Rams player that Broncos fans should be aware of this week?Terrance Ferguson. He was quiet in Week 1 when the offense was finding its rhythm, but in the second game, he finished with six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. He’s a versatile pass-catching tight end who can be a matchup problem for defenses. Ferguson is too big for corners and too fast for linebackers, so having a big safety who can run is usually ideal.

4) What is a strength of the Rams going into Week 3? Any weakness?Their run game looks really good. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum ran all over the Giants on Monday night, rushing for 85 and 79 yards, respectively. It helps that the offensive line is moving bodies with ease, but both running backs have been excellent so far. As for a weakness, definitely special teams. Harrison Mevis missed his first field goal attempt of the season from 43 yards, Xavier Smith muffed a kickoff and lost yardage on a punt return and punter Ethan Evans is inconsistent at best.

5) Who wins, final score and why?I still don’t fully know who the Rams are. They got blown out on another continent and then blew out a shorthanded Giants team that didn’t have their quarterback. But I liked enough of what I saw to say they’ll win a close one against the Broncos, even without Puka Nacua. I’m not sold on Denver’s offense and I think the Rams offense will be able to move the ball enough against the Broncos defense. Rams 20, Broncos 17.
