>The New England Patriots added two new star receivers this offseason, and one of their best receivers from last season could be expendable now.

>Kayshon Boutte was a key pass catcher for the Patriots last season, and when the team moved on from Stefon Diggs, he seemed destined for an expanded role. However, the Patriots replaced Diggs with Romeo Doubs and then traded for A.J. Brown. Boutte figures to be the No. 3 receiver, and his name has been mentioned in trade reports.

>He is one year away from free agency, and trading him may make sense for the Patriots. Doubs and Brown are under contract for multiple seasons, and Boutte may be better suited in an offense where he will have more opportunities. Even though it's late in the offseason, teams could still show interest in a player like Boutte.

>The Kansas City Chiefs were called a potential landing spot for Boutte by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox. Rashee Rice has looked good when healthy, but has also shown he is not reliable to stay on the field, whether it be for injuries or other reasons. Xavier Worthy has not proven he can consistently use his speed to make plays for Patrick Mahomes.

>Mahomes favorite target, Travis Kelce, is nearing retirement and is not the same player he once was. Boutte could be a breath of fresh air for the Chiefs. He had 551 yards and six touchdowns last season. He added nine catches for 168 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs as well.
