Colts roster preview: What can Jalen Farmer add to OL position?

Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Indianapolis Colts' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.

What to know about Jalen FarmerHe is a two-year starter with all of his snaps coming at right guard. Farmer was stout in pass protection, surrendering only 14 pressures and three sacks over 457 pass-blocking snaps in 2025. He also graded out fairly well in the run game by PFF's metrics.

>"He's got size and length as a guard, which is pretty unique," Tony Sparano said, via Colts.com. "Then you have the fact that this guy is powerful and he's twitchy."

Looking ahead to 2026 for Jalen FarmerI won't shut the door on Farmer pushing Matt Goncalves for snaps at right guard. That said, the Colts are very bullish about Goncalves as he enters his second season playing the guard position. Until we see how training camp unfolds, Farmer may most likely end up being the Colts' first guard off the bench.

>GM Chris Ballard did say after the draft that he believes Farmer has the skill set to play "some swing tackle," but it remains to be seen whether or not he will get snaps at that position.
