Could Eagles use potential A.J. Brown assets to chase Myles Garrett?

The Philadelphia Eagles could find themselves in the middle of the NFL's next blockbuster trade conversation.

>According to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, the Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Rams are among the teams showing interest in Cleveland Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett. While the Browns have repeatedly stated they do not intend to trade Garrett, Cabot reported that Cleveland appears more willing than ever to discuss a deal following the June 1 deadline.

>The timing matters. Garrett's contract was restructured in March, creating a more trade-friendly financial framework. The changes deferred option bonuses and would make it easier for another team to absorb the contract if Cleveland ultimately decided to move its franchise cornerstone. Any trade would come with a massive price tag. Cabot reports that negotiations could require as many as three first-round picks to seriously engage the Browns.

>For Philadelphia, that possibility becomes more intriguing amid continued speculation surrounding wide receiver A.J. Brown. If the Eagles were to receive a 2028 first-round pick in a potential Brown trade, general manager Howie Roseman could possess additional draft capital to pursue one of the league's premier defensive players. Making things even more intriguing, star quarterback Jalen Hurts and Garrett share the same agent, Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports.

>Garrett remains one of the NFL's most dominant pass rushers. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year owns a single-season franchise record of 23 sacks and continues to rank among the league's most disruptive defenders. He is also reportedly focused on winning a Super Bowl, a factor that could influence his long-term outlook.

>Philadelphia already has a talented edge-rushing group led by Jonathan Greenard, Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, Arnold Ebiketie, and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. Hunt emerged as one of the Eagles' most versatile defenders in 2025, while Smith continues to flash elite athletic traits when healthy. Adding Garrett, however, would elevate Philadelphia's defense into another tier entirely.

>For now, the Browns maintain they are not shopping their star defender. But with June 1 now behind them and quarterback uncertainty lingering in Cleveland, one of the NFL's biggest trade storylines is only beginning to gain momentum.
