Courtois expected to be back for El Clásico against Barcelona

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is making significant progress from the injury he suffered right ahead of the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16 against Manchester City and will be expected to be back for the upcoming El Clásico, which will be played at the Camp Nou on May 10th.

class="has-text-align-none">It would be quite the achievement, as the Belgian goalkeeper seemed ready to miss at least six weeks when his medical report was published on March 19th.

class="has-text-align-none">Real Madrid have nothing to play for in that El Clásico other than pride, so the coaching staff and Courtois himself should not take any risks with his recovery if he isn’t 100% ready to make his return.
