>Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak believes the team’s power play has to be better, and it starts with him.
>The Bruins suffered a 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres at home on Thursday, and in the loss, Boston went 0-for-4 on the power play. It was a disappointing result for Boston’s power play, and Pastrnak believes it has to be better if Boston is going to win the series.
>“Just got to bear down,” Pastrnak said postgame. “We had big opportunities on power plays; we got two power plays in the last six, seven minutes. We have to bury one of those. It’s on us guys on the power play to be better.
>“Their goalie played well, but we have to make it a little harder on him as well. It was a good opportunity for us, but it’s playoffs. Every game has been tight-checking, and today they came on top of it.”
>In the series, Boston’s power play is just 2-for-12, which is just 16.6%, well below the Bruins’ regular-season rate of 23.4 percent, which was ninth-best in the NHL.
>So, if the Bruins are going to even up the series in Game 4, Pastrnak believes the power play and the offense have to be better.
>Game 4 is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. ET at TD Garden in Boston.
