Don Smith Classic brings USAC Sprint Week racing to Action Track on Thursday

The 39th running of the Don Smith Classic commences Thursday at the Terre Haute Action Track, another leg in the USAC Indiana Sprint Week series.

>The 30-lap feature race follows Wednesday night's Indiana Sprint Week event at Paragon Speedway, won by California driver Jake Swanson. It was his first Sprint Week victory since taking the checkered flag at Lincoln Park Speedway in 2023.

>Activities Thursday at Terre Haute's half-mile oval include the pits opening at 3 p.m., front gates at 5 p.m., and a drivers meeting at 6 p.m., followed by qualifications at 6:30 p.m. and racing afterward.

>The top prize for the winner is $10,000, with $5,000 for the runner-up and $3,000 for third place.

>Still ahead on the Sprint Week schedule are Friday night's Sheldon Kinser Memorial race at Bloomington Speedway, and Saturday's race at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt.
