Done deal: Report Milan have full agreement with ex-Manchester United coach AmorimMonday’s reports claim that it is now a ‘done deal’ for former Manchester United head coach to replace Massimiliano Allegri at the helm of Milan.

Report: Amorim to Milan is a done dealAccording to reports from Sky Sport Italia, transfer expert Matteo Moretto and various other outlets, Amorim will sign an initial two-year contract with Milan, running until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for a further 12 months until the summer of 2029.

>Moretto adds that the documents will be formalised within the next few hours.

>Reports earlier on Monday claimed that Milan had offered Amorim a salary of €3.5m per season plus bonuses linked to Champions League qualification.

>Milan have been without a head coach since parting ways with Allegri the day after the 2025-26 season came to an end. The Rossoneri are also without a sporting director, technical director and CEO after dismissing Igli Tare, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani on the same day as Allegri.

>Milan had originally been in discussions with another former Manchester United head coach in Ralf Rangnick, who had looked poised to take over as sporting director. There were also reports from various outlets in Italy that Rangnick would look to appoint Oliver Glasner as head coach.

>However, talks between Milan and Rangnick have since broken down and the German has gone on to extend his contract with the Austria national team instead, which means that the Glasner option for Milan faded away as well.

>With just a few weeks remaining until the start of pre-season, it appears that Milan have finally settled on a new head coach to take over for the 2026-27 campaign.

>Mauricio Pochettino and Arne Slot had also been mentioned as possible candidates for the Rossoneri before the deal with Amorim came to fruition.
