>After several years working his way through the minor leagues, Pocono Mountain East baseball alum Zach McCambley gets the call.
>McCambley, 27, had his contract selected by the Cincinnati Reds after the Reds traded for him on May 21. In the 30 and 1/3 minor league innings pitched in 2026, McCambley posted a 2.37 ERA while recording 37 strikeouts with 18 walks.

— Cincinnati Reds (@Reds) June 2, 2026He's been in the minor leagues since 2021 after playing collegiately at Coastal Carolina, where he made the 2020 All-Sun Belt Preseason Team before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
>McCambley also had a decorated high school career at Pocono Mountain East, earning an All-American honorable mention from Perfect Game/Rawlings while also being named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team. Additionally, he was the 108th-best RHP in the 2017 recruiting class.
>McCambley was drafted 75th overall in the third round of the 2020 MLB draft by the Miami Marlins. The 6-foot-1 pitcher talked to the Pocono Record about representing East during his pro baseball journey in December, when he was in the Phillies organization.
>"When you mention that, it's cool to think about," McCambley said. "I've had some of my best memories growing up, just being from the Poconos and going to a public high school. I'm super grateful and honored. It just goes to show that with hard work and dedication to your craft, you can really do anything."
