Festus Ezeli to drive pace car before Cup race at Sonoma in 2026

NASCAR will have a special guest driving the pace car at Sonoma Raceway. Former Golden State Warriors center Festus Ezeli will drive the pace car ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma. Ezeli won the 2015 NBA Finals with Golden State alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

>After winning his championship, Ezeli spent only one more season with the Warriors before retiring due to severe, debilitating knee injuries and multiple surgeries that made it impossible for him to stay on the court. Still, Ezeli is widely regarded as a fan favorite of Golden State for his role in the 2015 NBA Finals.
