Florida basketball to face Duke again in ACC/SEC Challenge

Florida basketball will face Duke as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
>The conferences made the official announcement on Friday, June 5.
>The Gators fell short to the Blue Devils 67-66 at Cameron Indoor Stadium last year. It will be the first time since the 1930s that UF and Duke will face off in Gainesville.
>The last meeting in Gainesville was on Dec. 18, 1937, when Duke defeated Florida 33-25. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series against Florida at 14-3.
>Duke finished 35-3 last season and reached the Elite 8, while Florida finished 27-8 and fell in the Round of 32.
>UF’s non-conference schedule for 2026-27 is beginning to take shape as the Gators are set to open the season against in-state rival Miami in Tampa as well as an annual game against Florida State.
>Florida will also take part in the Players Era tournament in Las Vegas, which will feature UF opening against Notre Dame. The Gators will then face either Rutgers or Houston and should they advance to the title game, either Kansas, UNLV, West Virginia or Auburn.
