Former Bucs LB Lavonte David on Bruce Arians: 'He was that guy'

Bruce Arians spent only four seasons as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Lavonte David believes his arrival completely changed the direction of the franchise.

David said the team became more disciplined after Arians took over and credited him with helping turn around a franchise that had struggled to win consistently.

When Tampa Bay changed coaching staffs, David initially believed he might have to continue his career elsewhere. Arians quickly put those concerns to rest by telling the veteran linebacker that he wanted to build the defense around him.
