With basketball entering the offseason at several levels across the world, one former North Carolina Tar Heel is going to have to find a new home to play.
>After spending one season with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, Armando Bacot is leaving the team. He's one of four players to leave the team, joining Brandon Boston Jr, Arturs Zagars and Jilson Bango. Both Boston Jr. and Bacot had limited roles in their lone season with the club, likely signalling why they exited.
>For Bacot, he appeared in just 26 EuroLeague games last season. He averaged 2.4 points, and 1.8 rebounds per game last season. He averaged just 10 minutes per game.
>Bacot went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but joined the Utah Jazz for Summer League play. He did join the Memphis Grizzlies organization shortly after that and spent time in the G-League with the Memphis Hustle.
>Overseas, Bacot won a Turkish Super League title, a Turkish Cup title and a Turkish Super Cup title with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. If he does return to the United States to play, the Greensboro Swarm own his rights in the G-League.
