GametimeCT girls soccer power rankings, week 4 (Oct. 6): New team enters Top 10 for first time

Tea Bocek, center, of Amity celebrates with Eve Marin after she scored in the second half against Mercy to go up 2-1 in Woodbridge on September 29, 2026. (Arnold Gold/Hearst Connecticut Media) Not only has a new team entered the GametimeCT girls soccer power rankings, but there was some movement from some of the other nine teams as well.

>Pomperaug enters the rankings for the first time, coming in at No. 10. The Panthers already have six shutouts and are among the top teams in the current CIAC Class L rankings. Pomperaug is a definite SWC tournament title contender.

>The CCC made a push up the rankings this week. Undefeated teams Simsbury and Glastonbury are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. Glastonbury defeated Amity 2-1 at home Saturday. Could it be Simsbury vs. Glastonbury in the CCC championship game?

>Ridgefield was just as impressive, posting three more shutouts, including one against No. 1 St. Joseph. That's three ties for Ridgefield, up to No. 3 this week.

>Mercy dropped four spots to No. 7 after its first loss of the season against Amity. The Tigers bounced back with a 1-1 tie at Notre Dame Prep Sunday night. Amity suffered its first defeat at Glastonbury. The Spartans slid down to No. 6.

>Notre Dame Prep and Trumbull stand at eighth and ninth, respectively.
