High school girls soccer: Green Canyon rolls past Syracuse in dominant season-opening win

>The Wolves broke open a close game at the half with four goals in the second half in a dominant 5-0 victory.

>Israelsen opened the scoring for the Wolves on an assist from Knight in a tight first half in the battle of contenders in their respective classification.

>It didn’t take Green Canyon long to break the game wide open as Knight found the back of the net early in the second half on an assist from Chloe Sadler, last year’s Deseret News Ms. Soccer recipient.

>Autumn Howell and Tensmeyer tacked on goals to stretch the lead to 4-0, with Israelsen wrapping up the scoring late in the game.
