The Golden State Valkyries visit the Atlanta Dream in Game 6 of the WNBA Finals with a chance to win the championship. (Billy Cadden) The Golden State Valkyries are just one win away from becoming WNBA champions, and they could finish the job Thursday against the Atlanta Dream. After falling behind 2-1 in the Finals, Golden State has won two straight games, including a 64-55 Game 5 win at Chase Center on Monday night. Kiah Stokes and Veronica Burton led with 13 points apiece, while the Valkyries' defense held Atlanta to its lowest-scoring total of the series. Now Golden State heads back to Atlanta with a 3-2 series lead and a chance to claim its first championship.

>Thursday's Game 6 at State Farm Arena gives the Valkyries a chance to make history in just their second season. Atlanta will be fighting to keep its season alive, but Golden State has already proven it can win on the road after taking Game 4 in Atlanta. One more victory would bring a WNBA title to the Bay Area, while a loss would send the series back to San Francisco for a winner-take-all Game 7 on Saturday.

>The Valkyries can win the Finals starting at 9:30 a.m. PDT on Thursday, and fans everywhere can watch every second on Peacock.
