Husker soccer wins big against in-state rival

Nebraska soccer (2-1-2) closed out its four-game home stand against Omaha (1-2-1) on Thursday night. The Huskers rebounded big from their 2-0 loss to Alabama, shutting out the Mavericks, 3-0.
>Nebraska allowed only two shots all night from Omaha. The Huskers, meanwhile, tallied 26, including 13 on goal. SophomoreCarson Bohonek put two in the back of the net, her first two career goals, after firing six shots on the night, five on goal.
>Bohonek scored in the 43rd and 84th minutes, acting as the dagger following Reese Snowden's goal in the 23rd minute. Snowden finished with two shots, one on goal. Avery Gillihan got the win in the net, earning the team's first shutout win of the season. She recorded two saves on the night.
>Nebraska concludes the non-conference portion of the season on Sunday night against Kansas State. The match is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
