Jack Wilshere reveals what he likes most about Lewis-Skelly
class="isSelectedEnd">Myles Lewis-Skelly is one of the most exciting players in the Arsenal team, having progressed through the ranks at the club and earned opportunities in the first team.

class="isSelectedEnd">The Englishman can operate in midfield or as a left back and developed through the youth teams, where he was coached by Jack Wilshere. The former midfielder worked with the Arsenal U18 team and helped develop players such as Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
Wilshere praises Lewis-Skelly’s development
class="isSelectedEnd">Both players could have a bigger role in the team this season, and Lewis-Skelly will be hoping to receive more playing time in defence or midfield. He has already demonstrated his abilities at the club and will hope that Arteta places more trust in him when the campaign begins.

class="isSelectedEnd">Having previously worked with him, Wilshere is not surprised by the way Lewis-Skelly’s career has progressed. He appeared to expect the youngster to adapt well to senior football and believes he has the qualities needed to succeed.

class="isSelectedEnd">‘Forget the ability and all of that, the one thing that I love about Myles is his character and personality and he’s never let that leave him.

class="isSelectedEnd">‘When I’d watch on the TV, it would sometimes go to Myles on the bench and he would still cheer every moment. He’s a character who wants to feel love and he gives a lot of love as well.
Lewis-Skelly backed to succeed at Arsenal
class="isSelectedEnd">Wilshere believes Lewis-Skelly’s attitude and personality have played an important role in his rise at Arsenal. The midfielder praised the youngster’s character and the way he continues to support his teammates.

class="isSelectedEnd">‘He obviously found his way at the end of the season playing in the Champions League final, in my opinion, in his best position.

class="isSelectedEnd">‘I’d like to see him stay and fight for it because I believe he’s good enough to find his way in that team. I believe he can do that.’

class="isSelectedEnd">Lewis-Skelly will now look to continue improving and compete for more opportunities in the Arsenal squad. His previous performances have earned recognition, and Wilshere believes he has the ability to establish himself at the highest level.
>The youngster’s versatility gives him options within the team, and he will aim to prove that he can make a lasting impact for Arsenal.
