Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Jacksonville Jaguars' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.

>Up next is cornerback Devon Marshall, who wears No. 40.

ProfileHeight: 5-11 • >Weight: 200 • >Age: 21 • >NFL experience: Rookie • >College: N.C. StateHow long has Devon Marshall been with the Jaguars?Following the 2026 NFL Draft, Marshall was signed in April by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent (UDFA).

Looking back at Devon Marshall's 2025 college seasonMarshall had a strong season for N.C. State, having led the nation with 18 passes defensed. Additionally, he had 50 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one QB hit. Throughout his college career, he has been stingy in coverage, allowing a completion rate of just 49%, according to PFF, and displayed strong ball production.

>He was named a Second-Team All-American by The Athletic, earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors, and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

Looking ahead to 2026 for Devon MarshallDespite entering the NFL with an extremely productive resume, teams appeared to place greater emphasis on his athletic ceiling and projection than on his collegiate production. Now, as a UDFA, he faces an uphill climb to make the Jaguars' final 53-man roster. Travis Hunter, Montaric Brown, Jourdan Lewis, and Jarrian Jones are all locks for the four starting spots, while Christian Braswell and Jabbar Muhammad appear to be the front-runners for the fifth and potential sixth spots on the depth chart.

>That means Marshall will need to work to impress the Jacksonville staff, both during training camp this summer and again while on the practice squad, where he is assumed to end up. If he does, he could see a chance to build a long-term future with the Jags, similar to the trajectory Muhammad has been able to build.
