New York Knicks superstar guard Jalen Brunson briefly left Wednesday night's Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals in San Antonio with what looked like a knee injury.
>He later returned to the game and gave official Scott Foster an earful over what he thought was a blatant no-call on the Spurs. During an attempt on the basket, Brunson got a lot of contact from two San Antonio players and fell to the ground, seemingly injuring his ankle.
>Brunson felt there was a clear foul (or a couple) on the play and let Foster know it at a game break. When you watch the replay, you can kind of see what Brunson is talking about. If you're a Knicks fan, you do not want to see Brunson getting this dinged up so early in the NBA Finals. You get why Brunson is so furious over so much interference.
>Whether it's worthy of a foul or not may depend on who you're rooting for, but it's clear Brunson wasn't having any of it. We'll see how he navigates the officiating throughout this NBA championship series.
