Jaxon Smith-Njigba featured on TIME's 100 most influential people in sports

If people who have had a better calendar year than Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba exist, then the list is awfully short. Seattle's super star in the making led the NFL in receiving yards, earned the Offensive Player of the Year award, and became a Super Bowl LX champion. Oh, and let's not forget the fact he was rewarded handsomely with a mega-contract extension to make him the highest paid wide receiver in NFL history!

>Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been named as one of TIME Magazine's Top 100 most influential people in sports. The top tier was listed as "Icons" which of course included the likes of LeBron James, Shohei Ohtani, and Roger Goodell. But the next tier down, labeled "Titans," is where we see JSN. The Seahawks champ is among the likes of Aaron Judge, Rory McIlroy and Victor Wembanyama to name a few!

>JSN has only gotten better in each of his first three years in the league. His best, of course, came last year when he set a Seahawks franchise record with 119 receptions for 1,793 yards and ten touchdowns. While he has a ways to go to catch up to the likes of Steve Largent, Tyler Lockett and the other top receivers in Seahawks franchise history... the distance is not as great as you may think. JSN already has the 11th most receiving yards by a Seahawk ever, and is only 17 away from claiming the No. 10 spot all to himself.

>Seattle doesn't just have have a genuine super star who will be with them for years to come, they have a player who has the potential to be among the faces of the league itself.
