Jets fans choose their top rookie for 2026

The team made four selections in the top fifty using a combination of its own picks and others acquired in trades.

class="has-text-align-none">Big things are expected from this rookie class. The Jets are looking for four immediate starters.

class="has-text-align-none">Which rookie will have the best season? That’s what we asked in this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey.

It is logical that Bailey would have the highest expectations. He was the top player picked in the class after all. The Jets believe that Bailey can be a foundational pass rusher who can change the defense.

class="has-text-align-none">Interestingly the player who got the second most votes was D’Angelo Ponds, who was selected after a pair of pass catchers, Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper. It’s striking to see a second round pick get more votes than a pair of first rounders. I still kind of get it, though. Cooper and Sadiq need to fight for targets in a group led by Garrett Wilson. Ponds could be primed to make an immediate impact.
