— Katie Muller (@katie_muller22) July 3, 2026Muller is listed as a 6-foot-2 shooting guard, entering her senior season at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, the alma mater of Caitlin Clark. Muller has reached the 5A state final as a freshman and sophomore and the semifinals as a junior while playing for the Maroons. This past season she received IPSWA/IBCA and IGCA 1st Team All-State honors along with a slew of other postseason awards. In addition to playing alongside Ellie for three seasons, Katie played with her younger sister, Nikki, this past year. During the club season, she plays for Missouri Phenom.

class="wp-block-paragraph">Muller is considered the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Iowa. While her sister Ellie is considered more of an interior presence, Katie is a skilled guard, leading the Iowa 5A class in assists per game and shooting over 35% from the 3-point line.

class="wp-block-paragraph">She held offers from a plethora of other Power-4 schools including Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Muller now becomes the first 2027 recruit for Mizzou, as coach Harper continues to build both the now and the future in her second year at the helm of the Tigers. With five more spots available in the 2027-28 roster, there is plenty more work to be done in the recruiting game.
