With training camp drawing closer, we will be highlighting the one big question that faces each of the Jacksonville Jaguars' position groups.

>Next up is the cornerback unit, where Travis Hunter is expected to play a larger role this season.

How big an impact can Travis Hunter make at cornerback in 2026?Before last season's knee injury, the majority of Hunter's snaps came on offense. This year, Hunter is expected to take on a larger role defensively, while still playing wide receiver. The Jaguars have never wavered about him being a two-way player.

>That said, this year compared to last, there is a greater need for Hunter at cornerback, and he is a projected starter at outside cornerback, opposite of Montaric Brown. The belief internally, according to the NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, is that Hunter can be a high-impact player at cornerback.

"I had one coach with the Jaguars tell me if he can continue to develop and show what he started to show last year, you guys -- the media -- are going to be talking about him as a top 10 cornerback at this time next year," said Wolfe. "That's their belief in him. That's why they are putting commitment in him playing that much on defense. He will still play a lot on offense and make an impact on that."

Those around the NFL see that vision as well. Despite Hunter's relatively limited snaps at cornerback in the NFL, he received votes from league execs, coaches, and scouts in this year's top 10 cornerback rankings.

>ESPN's Ben Solak is also "very bullish" on Hunter's future at the cornerback position

>Hunter has shown to be a sticky coverage defender with very good instincts as well as ball skills that could lead to more takeaways. His presence at cornerback could, in turn, benefit the Jaguars' pass rush.

>The expectation -- both internally and on the outside -- seems to be that Hunter will make a big impact and he'll do so rather quickly.
