>In addition to handing out standard, multi-year deals to the most deserving contributors, the Los Angeles Lakers are also beginning to extend two-way contracts.

>On Friday night, the Lakers re-signed a former Golden State Warriors Summer League Defensive star (he averaged 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks with the franchise in seven Summer League contests with the Dubs last season) to a two-way deal to assist Luka Doncic for the foreseeable future.

>“The Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed guard Chris Manon to a two-way contract," HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reported on X/Twitter. "He appeared in nine games for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2025-26 season."

>“He was named to the 2025-26 NBA G League All-Defensive Team and finished second in defensive player of the year voting.”

>After Manon’s impressive defensive showing during last year’s Summer League, the Vanderbilt product earned a two-year contract with the Lakers. Manon, who spent the majority of his rookie NBA campaign in the G-League, averaged 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game in 33 contests with the South Bay Lakers.

>In nine contests with the big dogs, Manon contributed 0.8 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks. Although the 24-year-old is still working toward becoming a more well-rounded player, his defensive-minded ways earned him another deal with the Lake Show.
