Lens submit offer for Cheveyo Tsawa

RC Lens have submitted a bid for FC Zurich midfielder Cheveyo Tsawa (19), according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri.

>Last season, Tsawa played 34 times for the Swiss club, scoring twice and registering two assists. He is being heavily linked with an exit from the club this summer. Tavolieri understands that it is Club Brugge who lead the race. It is the Belgian side who are most advanced in talks with the player’s entourage. They are waiting for Tsawa to give the green light to the move before submitting an offer to FC Zurich.

>However, in the meantime, Lens, who next season will play in the UEFA Champions League, have joined the race. The Ligue 1 club have even submitted an offer worth €7m, including bonuses. Les Sang et Or need to strengthen their midfield following the exit of Adrien Thomasson; Mamadou Sangaré may follow.

>However, for Tsawa’s signature, there is also stiff competition from Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
