>The Santa Clara Bruins brought the offense in a 14-8 win over the Silver Creek [San Jose] Raiders Saturday morning in California's CIF Central Coast softball playoffs.

>With the win, the Bruins claimed the Central Coast's Division V championship, and they did it a lot of the damage early in a 5-0 first inning to set the pace.

>From there, they matched Silver Creek's offense to keep the game effectively out of reach. The Raiders had one last chance in the seventh when they loaded up the bases, but they were unable to get any runs across.
