LSU football game time windows announced for 2026 season

Lane Kiffin has complained as an opposing head coach about how many night games LSU football gets during the season.

>It's doubtful you'll hear any complaining from Kiffin now as he is a few months away from officially embarking on his first season as the Tigers head coach and he'll be coaching the Tigers in those night games.

>LSU will play five guaranteed night games in the 2026 season, highlighted by the showdowns with Clemson in the season opener and at Ole Miss for the SEC opener in Week 3 and at Kentucky in Week 6 as of now.

>The SEC announced the game time windows for SEC games June 10.

>LSU could play as many nine night games as matchups against Texas A&M, Alabama, Texas and Tennessee have the game times flexed. Outside of the those contests, the Tigers will play Mississippi State at home in Week 7, at Auburn in Week 8 and close out the regular season at Arkansas in early games in the 11 a.m.-Noon window.

>There are four kickoff time windows: Early (11 a.m.-noon CT), afternoon (2:30-3:30 p.m. CT), night (5-7 p.m. CT) and flex (which consists of all of the game windows). Exact game times will be settled at a later date. Kickoffs for flex games will be decided 12 to seven days before the game.

LSU football game times during 2026 seasonLSU already knew it start times for the first three times of the season. The Tigers opens the 2026 season at Tiger Stadium Sept. 5 at night at 6:30 p.m.. ESPN's College Gameday will be on campus to highlight Kiffin's first game at LSU's coach in the day's biggest game on the slate.

>The Tigers' matchup with Louisiana Tech Sept. 12 will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. at Tigers Stadium in Week 2 before their SEC opener at Ole Miss the following week will start at 6:30 p.m.

>LSU's games against Clemson and Ole Miss will broadcast on ABC while SEC Network+ will stream the LSU-Louisiana Tech contest.
