>According to Jacob Calvin Meyer of the Baltimore Sun, Rutschman had planned to see the movie with Colton Cowser, Gunnar Henderson, and Ryan Mountcastle. Rutschman was informed of the trade while walking into the theatre, following which the group went home instead of watching the movie.

>Cowser bid an emotional farewell to his former teammate, saying, “All I could do was give him a hug and tell him that I’m here for him and I love him.”

class="nordot-embed-twitter">Adley Rutschman Voiced His Excitement Upon Joining the Red SoxAfter the trade that sent him to Boston, Adley Rutschman told reporters that he will soon speak with the pitching staff and begin building chemistry with his new teammates.

“Just a lot of emotion and just trying to get everything together, get moved, get here, and just get right into it… I’m gonna get with the pitching staff and the [individual] pitchers. I’m in the same league, so I’ve been able to see these guys a couple times, and face them and kind of know their arsenal, but I’ll make sure to get with them on how these guys like to attack, what their plans are, what they like to do,” Rutschman said.

It remains to be seen how soon the three-time All-Star catcher will finish his rehab and join the active roster at Fenway Park.
