Nebraska QB Anthony Colandrea looks to extend plays for the Huskers

Nebraska quarterback Anthony Colandrea is on an elite list entering the 2026 season. He is ninth among FBS quarterbacks in yards per scramble. Colandrea comes in with a mark of 8.8 yards per scramble entering the year.

>For perspective, the leader on this list is Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor. He had 11.9 yards per scramble. Texas quarterback Arch Manning was second on the list with 11.2 yards.

>Interestingly enough, a Husker opponent is on the list as well. Maryland quarterback Malik Washington comes in fourth on this particular list. He had 9.5 yards per scramble.

>This undoubtedly demonstrates the mobility that Colandrea brings to the table. His ability to run is one of the hallmarks of his game, and that should be a major asset for the program this season.

>The difficulty of the schedule will undoubtedly put the quarterback to the test as well. Nevertheless, his multi-faceted game should bode well for the Huskers moving forward.
