OHSAA dates for the upcoming 2026 football season

Right now teams are busy with conditioning drills, weight lifting sessions and 7-on-7 passing competitions, but the season is nearly upon us as the Ohio High School Athletic Association recently released the upcoming football schedule for the summer and fall.

>Here are some important dates to put on the calendar for 2026:

>Aug. 21: First Friday night football game regular season opener.

>Oct. 26: Playoff qualifiers officially announced.
