The seventh and final Oklahoma Sooners player chosen in the 2026 NFL Draft is officially off the board. After R Mason Thomas (40th overall), Febechi Nwaiwu (106th overall), Gracen Halton (107th overall), Kendal Daniels (134th overall), Robert Spears-Jennings (224th overall), and Jaren Kanak (225th overall) all heard their names called, one more former OU player joined them.
>The Indianapolis Colts selected wide receiver Deion Burks in the seventh round (254th overall) on Saturday. Burks spent two seasons in Norman, after spending his first three collegiate years at Purdue. After an injury-plagued 2024 season, Burks was healthy as a senior in 2025, and he was Oklahoma's second-leading receiver with 57 catches for 620 yards and four touchdowns.
>Burks is capable of playing in the slot (like he did in '24) or on the outside (like he did in '25), and his speed his his best attribute. He's a great athlete for his size, and made the choice to come back to Oklahoma for one last ride, which paid off and helped him get drafted.
>Burks is joining a Colts team that started strong but fizzled out last season. He's a veteran who is a threat in both the quick game and over the top. Being able to move around the formation will help to give him a chance to make the roster in Indianapolis.
