>The Flyers will take a commanding 2-0 lead back to Philadelphia after defeating the Penguins in Game 2 of their first-round series.
>Flyers goalie Dan Vladar delivered a magnificent performance in the 3-0 victory, finishing with 27 saves and earning the first playoff shutout of his career. Porter Martone and Garnet Hathaway scored in the second period for Philly, and Luke Glendening's empty-netter in the final frame eliminated any chance of a Pittsburgh comeback.
>The Penguins had plenty of opportunities on the power play, but they couldn't beat Vladar. Pittsburgh goaltender Stuart Skinner has been solid through two games, but his play between the pipes won't matter if the Pens can't find a way to generate more offense.
