>Pryce started the final round in the north Wales forests in third place, with pre-rally leader Max McRae and fellow Welshman Meirion Evans also hoping to claim the 2026 title.
>Evans fell by the wayside early on Saturday, sliding off the road on stage five while running second.
>In difficult weather conditions McRae also lost time after taking an early lead, before pushing Pryce all the way for victory.
>The 21-year-old Scot - nephew of former world champion Colin McRae, and son of Alister who won the BRC title in 1995 - won the final two stages but could not quite close the gap on Pryce who took the rally by 1.2 seconds.
>The Melvyn Evans Motorsport driver is the second Welshman to win a title on the final day of the season in 2026, after Elfyn Evans - who won the British Rally Championship in 2016 - finally ended years of near-misses to become Wales' first World Rally Champion earlier in October.
