class="has-text-align-none">Speaking at the Battle of the Stars charity golf tournament, the lifelong Real Madrid supporter was asked about the election results that saw Pérez once again secure the presidency.

class="has-text-align-none">“The members have voted, both were good candidates, this is democracy and the one who won has won. Florentino is the best president in the history of Real Madrid, his mission is not yet finished and Enrique Riquelme will have time,”

class="has-text-align-none">During his various spells as president, Pérez has overseen one of the most successful eras in the club’s history, helping deliver numerous domestic and European titles while transforming Madrid into one of the world’s most powerful sporting institutions.

class="has-text-align-none">At the same time, Nadal acknowledged that no presidency lasts forever and that the club will eventually face a transition to a new generation of leadership.

class="has-text-align-none">“Some things have their time. Florentino has been president for 26 years, and time takes its toll on everyone. Florentino will have to stop. Today is today, tomorrow will be tomorrow, and we’ll see what happens in the future. Life evolves, and making predictions years in advance always seems very risky to me,”
