Although he hasn’t made it official, it looks as if Russell Wilson is retiring and joining CBS as an NFL analyst, according to Ian Rapoport.

> Rapoport says Wilson is not officially saying he’s retiring, just taking a break from football.

>“Pro Bowl QB Russell Wilson, who has an offer to be a backup QB, has elected to accept an offer to join the CBS Sports team for their Sunday pregame show and more, sources say (as @sportsrapport reported).

>Wilson may not be retiring, but at least a pause on his playing career.”

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) June 1, 2026If indeed this is the end of Wilson’s, it was a good one.

>He’s a Super Bowl winner, a 10-time Pro Bowler, and has won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

>Wilson, who is 37, has thrown for 46,966 yards, 353 touchdowns, and 114 interceptions during a career that includes 10 seasons with the Seahawks, 2 with the Broncos, one with the Steelers, and last season with the Giants.

>Wilson is said to be joining the NFL Today pregame show, which features James Brown, Nate Burleson, and Bill Cowher.

>He has yet to confirm or deny these reports.
